Uncommon Giving: Saving “Grace” to Drive Away Cancer with Guest Michael Satterfield
Morgan’s and Phillip’s™ was founded in 2007 with the idea to create clothing that reflected the history of not only America but the unique passion Americans have for all things on wheels.
Founder and designer Michael Satterfield had bought his first car two years before he could legally drive and hung on the every word as his father and his friends would talk about the golden age of motorsports.
M&P™ has teamed up with the Drive Away Cancer organization to raise awareness and funding as the official supplier of Drive Away Cancer T-Shirts. Drive Away Cancer uses the metaphor of an abandoned car named Grace – shot full of rust and battling constant mechanical demons – to bring hope and inspiration to those affected by cancer. With every stop across America, thousands sign the names of their loved ones on the car to ensure that whatever the outcome, cancer can never take away the impact that each of us leaves behind. M&P also has dedicated lines that help to create economic opportunities for people in Nicaragua and India by working with local organizations and trade schools to purchase items at fair trade prices, and reinvesting those profits back into the programs in the countries.
